Kettering, Ohio

Kettering is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. It is an inner suburb of Dayton. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 57,862, making it the most populous suburb in the Dayton metropolitan area.  

The city was founded in 1888 and named after Charles F. Kettering, an American inventor and businessman who is best known for his work on the development of the automobile. Kettering was the home of the Delco Remy Corporation, a major supplier of automotive parts and accessories, for many years.

Today, Kettering is a diverse community with a strong sense of community. It is home to a variety of businesses, including Kettering Health, a major healthcare system, and several manufacturing companies. The city is also home to a number of schools, parks, and recreational facilities, including the Kettering Recreation Center, which offers a variety of programs for all ages.

There are a number of things to do in Kettering, including visiting the Charles F. Kettering Memorial Library, exploring the city’s parks and trails, and attending one of the many festivals and events that are held throughout the year.
